Haul Away Joe

Haul Away Joe è un tipico shanty, ovvero un canto marinaresco usato a bordo delle navi per scandire il ritmo del lavoro.
In questo caso si tratta di uno short-drag shanty, ovvero un canto per scandire il recupero veloce di una fune, qualche tiro di corda ogni verso.
Il canto veniva usato dai marinai inglesi e da quelli americani.
